Help Plan the 2011 Georgia Meet!

Posted by ForNoReason - July 6th, 2010

In 2009 and 2010 I put together Newgrounds Meet ups for the Atlanta,GA area. They were a hell of a lot of fun and I don't see a reason to stop. Next year I want the meet to be huge, so I am looking for some help to get some ideas of what to do and where to go! I am between having the meet in Atlanta, GA again or shaking things up and taking it to Savannah, GA. Post your ideas and opinions on which place you prefer and what you would like to do there.

IDEAS

Atlanta, GA:
Done it here for two years now and it has been fun.

Savannah, GA:
Smaller venue, but still a great place to visit. Many open parks and places to explore. Also, really close to the beach.

So post your ideas and ill add them to the list. If you agree with something that has already been posted then say so. That way I can see what areas have to most support.

Comments

It's not like I'm going or anything, but just a few ideas.

Atlanta's Pros and Cons: It's a bigger city with a whole lot more options. You can probably do a lot more there than you can in Savannah. Cons are is that there's so many places there that you'd have some big decisions to make where to go.

Savannah's Pros and Cons: Although it is smaller, that beach option makes it more negotiable than Atlanta. Also, you wouldn't have to worry about the many places. Cons: Those few places make it less sociable and probably just a BIT less enjoyable.

I honestly don't know which one you should choose, but good luck deciding.

Well if you goto Savannah, people can crash at our place saving the cost for hotels. We could even host it at our place too. Tybee would be a tight place to chill at as well.
